Feast Day for Santa Clara

A favourite Saint of mine who is often petitioned for good juju.
I petition her for peace and illumination, ' She really works wonders '
' An army of soldiers came to attack Assisi and they planned to raid the convent. Although very sick, St Claire carried to the wall a lamp and right there, where the enemies could see it, she had the Blessed Sacrament placed. Then on her knees, she begged god to save the Sisters. "O Lord, protect these Sisters whom I cannot protect now," she prayed. A voice answered: "I will keep them always in My care." At the same time a sudden fright struck the attackers and they fled as fast as they could. '
When difficulties arise and the Devil is at the door, so to speak, or whenever someone i know has a troubled mind, or feels lost in the dark in need of light and illumination i petition in her name.
A traditional prayer is to light a white candle in front of her image

Say nine hail marys
' God of mercy, you inspired st clare with the love of poverty through her prayers may we follow christ in poverty of spirit and come to the joyful vision of your glory in the kingdom of heaven we ask this through our lord jesus christ your son who lives and reigns with you one god forever and ever amen. '
Say your petition ....................
' May the most sacred heart of jesus be praised adored and loved in all the tabernacles throughout the world now and forever amen '
